|Clerk Receives PAFR Award|

Nassau County Clerk of Court & Comptroller, John A. Crawford, has received an award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting (PAFR). This prestigious national award is granted to state and local government agencies by the Government Finance Officers Association, and recognizes conformity to the highest standards of popular reporting that considers creativity, presentation, understandability, and reader appeal. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. “The PAFR is a great tool for Nassau County citizens to gain a snapshot of statistical and financial information,” said John A. Crawford. Readers can learn about trends in the county’s housing, population, unemployment, and personal income. The PAFR also outlines services available to citizens, capital improvement projects, and the county’s investments and long-term debt. The Popular Annual Financial Report is derived from the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending on Sept. 30, 2014.
